Looks like Allie hit rock bottom pretty hard.

She probably never lifted herself that far off the bottom to begin with.

And that ain’t Gatorade she’s drinking. Hang on… “Loch Lomond”. Isn’t that Captain Haddock’s favourite whiskey?

I notice few people seem to have computers or television or any electronics. You’d think Endtown was trying to maintain a radio silence.

    Yeesh. I just hope this doesn’t lead to a misunderstanding/conflict with Holly…

Yes, Loch Lomond – nice tribute to Hergé, Aaron. :)So yesterday’s kids scene, could anyone tell if any of the kids were younger than 6 years? That would be THE clue that there’s continued hope, otherwise they’re all just babies who got transformed. I think we were served another quiet huge clue. :)I also think Wally just wants to apologise to Allie, without necessarily knowing anything about her problem. Maybe thank her properly for the risks she took to get him to Endtown, and the losses she endured (of her friends).

Oh yeah, Aaron: having re-read all the early Albert and Gustine strips (on www.aaronneathery.org, people!), I was amused to see the photo-strips of Aaron Max and Ed Deadeye.. inserting yourself in your work a lot, were you? :)

Poor Allie, lost so many people. I’m surprised she’s conscious. I’m also curious where the alcohol is coming from considering how scarce food is…

Allie wouldn’t be turning up so many Captain Haddock’s today had Wally not lost it when he had that altercation with that jackass of a drunken patron at the diner back in April. If there’s anyone to blame, it’s that drunken a-hole of a patron! My apologies for that colorful comment!

Although I loathe the glorification of addictions in comic strips and animated adult TV shows (if which I don’t bother to watch), I made Endtown an exception….for now.

Wally can only try to help Allie, it won’t work if she refuses to be helped. I imagine that Endtown has MANY citizen badly in need of psychiatric help. With what happened only six short years ago, the whole population of the world was DEEPLY traumatized. “Just get over it!”——does not help. I believe these stories will show countless people helping one another out of major depression.

Aaron, I love this strip…thanks for writing/drawing it!

    KUTGW,

    Noreen
