As if he weren’t goofy already? But the ***really*** goofy ones are the people who follow him and send him their money.

That guy gives religion and spirituality a bad name. He’s the lowest common denominator, the one (along with televangelists) atheists talk about when they say all religious people are poor little things in fear.

They don’t talk about the Dalai Lama, the Hindu Vedas, the Dammapada, the Gospels or Mother Theresa. Go for the lowest comon denominator.

Canuck; what would you do if you met a priest or a nun teaching evolution in a catholic school?

For years until the 1960s, hospitals in french-language canada were completely run by nuns. Some of the nurses retiring now learned their jobs from them.

And they didn’t cure people through “faith healing” and make believe but through MEDICAL SCIENCE just like we do today.

My point is, not all religious people are Bible Thumpers like your poster boys for stupidity.

To many people, that whole “It’s either religion or science” thing is nonsense!

^Frenchette, quite right. There are Jesuit anthropologists. The Church, whatever its other faults, supports evolutionary science.
