    Actually the type of iron in meats (liver, etc) is in a form that causes damage to the veins and arteries, triggering cholesterol production. And spinach isn’t the answer; its reputed high iron content was the result of a misplaced decimal point when recording the initial test results. Try black molasses which does have a significant iron content; a tablespoon a day makes a noticeable difference in kids behavior.

    Sottwell, beef is also a good source of B12 as are many types of shell fish. The best source of all, however, is liver. One serving gives you 780% of the RDA. (Among other things, it’s needed for platelet production, which is how I learned about it.) Vegens have to take supplements of it daily because you can only get it in nature from animal products.
