Janis: Wup!
Janis: Got an update on Twitter!
Arlo: Do you really know all those twits?
Janis: Most of them!
Janis: But I don't think they call them "twits", do they?
No, they are called tweeps. But those of you not on Twitter get to be self-important about it, so don’t let reality get in the way of your next attempt to think you’re better than someone else for an arbitrary reason.
Considering how regularly people who use twitter put their foot in their mouths with things they should not be sharing with the entire world, “twit” is an apt word.
If there was a single demonstrable benefit from tweeting then those not on twitter would not have a non-arbitrary reason to have some sense of intellectual superiority.
Hey! Jimmy Johnson announced on his blog that he will be publishing a brand new Arlo & Janis collection this summer. Head over to his blog at arloandjanis.com for all the details. (You do check out his blog daily, right?)
I have a friend who’s come up with an interesting and creative use for Twitter: he’s using it to publish book reviews, each one consisting of exactly one tweet.
I suppose it depends on what you use it for and how to use it. I stick to Face Book, but only with close friends. I don’t twitter or even text. Time is better spent reading a book…..
psheare, from yesterday. You nailed it. We feed the birds for ourselves…..I’ve been trying to get Oriels for a few years now. This summer I have some. I feel a sense of satisfaction.

That’s what Arlo calls them. Can’t say as I dispute that much.
