People who don’t like cats often say it is because cats think they are better than humans. I believe that people who don’t like cats don’t like them becase deep down inside they believe the cat is right.
Zankou, yes. Cats have a far larger vocabulary than most people realize. They are also very good at reading body language. It’s just what they deign to show you they know.
The reason Ludwig (and the Phantom’s suit) are purple is that gray just doesn’t come out looking right in a comic strip and a purple-gray mix is as close as the printers can come and have it look reasonably good.
Cat mouths are extremely dirty. My wife recently spent four days in a hospital getting IV antibiotics because of a cat bite Cats have sharp teeth, so the germs penetrate deeper when they bite.

Zankou: Ludwig has always been purple. I am not sure what breed he is supposed to represent.
