@Nabuquduriuzur You’re so right. The yellow jackets are not a threat unless you really do something to them. They just fly around doing their own thing, mostly gathering food to take to their nest.
I take things out to the deck for them to clean up. They work wonders at carrying off the leftover, dried out catfood the kitties decided they don’t want. Also the same for the dogfood and people food.
They are hard workers and willing to co-exist if you just don’t swat at them or cause them problems. All in all, pretty good neighbors for the most part.
You have never met yellow jackets, especially the ground dwelling kind. They burrow into the ground making a nice circular hole. They will attack if you are anywhere near them. Really mean!
