    His password is not strong. It should also have at least one numeral and at least one lower-case letter. A numeral is also handy for a system that requires that the password be changed at stipulated times. Since such systems typically remember only the last five passwords, one can cycle the digit 0-9 and back indefinitely.

    Now that he has spilled his password, he has to change it completely.

    With PasswordSafe, which is free, one can use passwords too complicated to remember.

    RonaldDavis, as I’ve mentioned before, requiring a digit and mixed capitalization doesn’t make for stronger passwords, it makes them weaker because it drastically lowers the number of possible passwords. Allowing such things is good because it increases the pool but requiring them undoes most of that good.

    And most websites won’t allow a “/” in a password – looks like an URL
