OK so if Eugene is smart enough to:- steal the book- know his sister’s secret code<br.- know that Eileen knows his sister’s secret code- know that Jason knows his sister’s secret code— by now I am doubting that the code was so secret after all- knows that Eileen is alergic to lavendar spakle ink- knows that his sister always carries her lavender ink pen around with her behind her back.
Then why did he confess? Does he not realize that when faced with a common enemy, people drop their petty differences?
