I don’t like gory movies. But I have to say that the original ‘Saw’ was on of the best who-done-its ever. (Actually, a who’s-doing-it). I won’t spoil it for you, but I love the way it goes through the characters, casting suspicion on virtually everyone at some point. I realized very early in the movie that it is simply a classic who-done-it, dressed up up as a horror movie, and really thought I’d solve it. (Didn’t). And it’s really not all that gory. The “innocuous secondary character”, indeed! (I’ve said too much).

And he’d have gotten away with it if it weren’t for those meddling kids.

What an embarrassment for Jason, Marcus and Eileen. Brilliant job, Phoebe. Nice try, Eugene.

Yup, I wasted 3 hours reading the who-dun-it and they introduce the guilty in the second to last chapter. My wife wonders why I don’t watch one hour crime dramas. Oh. that uncle Fred who sent a card in chapter two.

Of course they, and we, all forgot Eugene — he hasn’t been mentioned in a year!

For those who guessed that it was Eugene, you got it right! For those who kept guessing it was Jason…you were WRONG!!!

Ah, genre savvy. Especially helpful when you live in fiction.

I don’t think Jason is going to get that hat back.
