    The female lion is the hunter; the males are the bullies.

    Tigers are much more solitary, and so less distinct in habits.

    Of course, we could get all psychoanalytical on Hobbes as a manifestation of Calvin’s subconscious and examine the conflict between his agression towards Susie and Hobbes’ affection for her, noting that the affection is what won out here. **But that would be overdoing it, right?

    I find it fascinating that Hobbes doesn’t put too much emphasis on that last part, even with that cheesy grin on his face – Susie’s wiles are just a fact of life!
