Pig: Hey, Goat... where you off to? Goat: I need some greeting cards, so I'm going to that new stationery store. Pig: Was the old one rolling around? Goat: Never mind. Pig: I prefer all my stores to be stationary.
Ah, Piggy! Sweet, naive Pig! How do you even manage to get to the bar/cafe on your own? But if you read your and Goat’s speech-balloons again, you will note that the homonyms are indeed spelled differently and are different in meaning. Did you ever go to grammar school?
Hmmm…. I like the food trucks at the farmer’s market, and the taco trucks on the west side of town, which move - though they do try to stay pretty still when you’re buying something. On the other hand I was the manager of a shop in the downtown mall on Oct 17th 1989, when suddenly, for a few minutes,NONE of the stores were stationary, not even the stationery store. Nobody could buy anything, though you’d think the prices would have fallen. When the shaking stopped I think we’d have said that we all preferred stationary stores.
Hmmm…. smells funny in here today. BMonk — thanks! But do get up… I don’t want to be responsible for any unclean habits. Just to add my 2¢ — Pig and Goat are both perfectly correct in their use of stationery/ary.Bdaverin — you must live within 100 miles or so of me! I’m in Santa Rosa.Oh — and @ the Womble – sadly, where I live they don’t allow pets that big either. And maybe you’re better off — it’s a more than full time job to keep a store.

Wow… I really like this group. You guys are like popcorn with the follow-up puns…“pop, pop, pop”. Awesome.

“…the longest-running, permanent, stationary crop game in New York” just doesn’’t have the same ring to it, at least to this Guy.

So I guess this means Pig does not care to go to movies.

If you order the cards by phone, does the guy who delivers them ride a stationary bike?

Homophones? As opposed to “straight” phones.

And Woody, you can also try to lay them down. But it takes some good homophones.

I have a stationery bike; it was mailed to me by the company, and I unfolded it and started riding it right away.
