I’m kinda surprised Rip was able to anticipate that — he doesn’t strike me as the kind of guy with the slightest smidgen of understanding of the Fairer Sex.

it’s a fact that girls in their prime, get that feeling, being around pregnant women and babies… something about pheromones… some cultures send the young girls off to live with pregnant women to set off their baby making mode….

Do you guys think the most dangerous couple in the comics should have a baby? I’ve always heard that once a hero gets married, it’s jumped the shark! Thoughts?

That’s a great idea, Minkymoo! TNT should have puppies!

Getting married and having kids are both optional, and do not have to happen in that order. As for jumping sharks, boring. Jumping flaming shark while wearing a C4 vest, better, but still needs something.

Dear Dan ~ RE: Should They/Shouldn’t They: A few Words for your Consideration…… “Moonlighting” , "Cheers’ “House”, “Friends” any of the Relationships on “ER” “Buffy/Angel” and Even “Remington Steele”. While I realize I just Dated myself with those references, the Point is This: Did we WANT them to? ~YES! Was it as much Fun after they Actually Did? Not So Much. Rip shouldn’t be Jumping Sharks, He should be Blowin’ ‘em Up with the aforementioned C-4 Life Vest. A new litter of TNT~esque Puppies? THAT could be Fun…..Speakin’ O’ Fun, Go Have some Y’all HUGPOUNCEZZZZ an’ I’m OUTTA Here! :-)

Dan Thompson: Yes! If its in the cards let Cobra Carson become Cobra ? Haywire. The whole thing could take on a ‘Jonny Quest’ kinda vibe. I LOVED JQ.

With all the timing devices Cobra’s affixed to bombs in her day, it’s no surprise her own biological clock would go off eventually

While it’s true Blondie & Dagwood got married to change the focus of the strip (just like Beetle Bailey joined the Army to change the nature of his stories) they did it quickly, after three years. Most comic couples wait a while. Prince Valiant & Queen Aleta, 9 years. Dick Tracy & Tess Trueheart, 18 years. Steve Canyon & Summer Smith Olson, 21 years.I’m not saying I’m against it, I just think there are lots of fun ‘single Rip’ stories to tell before you change such a pivotal aspect of the strip. But if you do, I’m sure it’ll be a fun roller coaster ride! (Hey, shouldn’t Rip meet the prospective in-laws first?)
