Calvin and Hobbes by Bill Watterson for November 21, 1986
Transcript:
Calvin: I'm home! Mom: Hi, honey. How did your play go? Calvin: Terrible. I got stuck in my zipper in the bathroom, and they had to stop the play and get a janitor to find me and get me out. Mom: Oh no. That's awful! Calvin: I'll say...the play was ruined. ...But I remembered my line!

He remembered his line, yet neither mom nor dad attended. If they’re not careful, their negligence will cause Calvin to act out in some way.

This strip originally ran in the papers on the same day Don Bluth’s “An American Tail” was released in movie theaters!

She didn’t even GO? She’s a stay-at-home mom! That is terrible. No wonder this kid lives in a dream world.
