Calvin and Hobbes by Bill Watterson for December 02, 1986
Transcript:
Calvin: Oh no! A knock at the door! The babysitter must be here! Hobbes: Should we hide? Calvin: No way. Baby sitters can smell fear in little kids. We'd be doomed. Hobbes: So we go on the offensive? Calvin: Right. Here's a notepad and pencil. Hobbes: Oh boy, blackmail! Calvin: Right, get to the upstairs phone when she calls her boyfriend.

Hobbes is very expressive in this strip. At first not well clued-in, then shocked, then resolute, than excited with the plan.
