Calvin and Hobbes by Bill Watterson for February 05, 1987
Transcript:
Hobbes: Can I have some clay? Calvin: Help yourself. This stuff's impossible to work with. Hobbes: Thanks. Calvin: I've got a pretty good bowl or something here. It started out as a phontom jet, but it sort of squashed, so now I think it's a bowl. Hobbes: Mmm. That's very good. Calvin: Yeah, I'm real pleased with it.

Calvin has excellent self-esteem. Hobbes is just good at modeling.

Don’t forget, Calvin made it himself. Hobbes is just an imaginary friend. According to his parents, he could grow up to be an architect one day, because he was playing with tinker toys all the time. He also made a contraption that made a bucket of water fall on his dad’s head. At first I didn’t understand it but then I saw that if you open the door, the tension releases and falls on his dad’s head. Pretty advanced if you ask me. Also looking at the tiger, Calvin could be a great artist when he grows up, considering he made that at age six. I could hardly make a clay face at age six. He also wanted to be a millionaire. Sorry if you read all this.
