He sure took the ring out of that phone.

All the things Calvin does to avoid answering the phone and taking messages— I want to do those things! I hate the phone!

Ahh, the good ol’ rotary phone. Haven’t seen one in real life for ages!

I’ve always loved the bouncing appliances!!!

That must have been ringing pretty loud; it almost flew off the table just like the TV.

this is what i do when i have to answer either my siblings’ phones or my mom and dad’s phones i just answer and hang up right after like “shut up whoever you are my siblings/parents don’t wanna talk to you”

“Sir, I’m calling for a survey. Is your refrigerator running? If so, you should go catch it.” If Calvin answered the phone, that’s what would happen.

Why is that plugged into the wall? So they can find the phone easier? So it won’t be stolen?

I remember answering the phone when I was a kid. Usually it was the wrong number.
