Calvin and Hobbes by Bill Watterson for August 20, 1987
Transcript:
Dad: Well, gang, I'm sorry the weather wasn't any better this week. I know it wasn't always a lot of fun, but we lived through it, and we got to spend some time together, and that's what's really important. Anyway, I hope you're all not too disappointed. Mom: Calvin, tell your Dad any judge would take this trip as grounds for a divorce. Calvin: Dad, Mom says... Dad: All right! All right!

Dad, I think to make up for this, you should probably try a different option for next year’s vacation. I would probably recommend a spot where a mouse with a falsetto voice serves as the mascot.
