Calvin and Hobbes by Bill Watterson for April 14, 1988
Transcript:
Calvin: If you want to stay Dad, you've got to polish your image. Dad: My image. Calvin: Right. See, now everyone thinks you're insensitive to the legitimate needs of minors. A few magnanimous gestures while in office now might be in order. If your mind's gone blank, I have some suggestions. Dad: Oh, the suspense. Calvin: For example, you might repeal makdatory school attendance. That alone could rocket you to victory.
