Hobbes: What a clear night! Look at all the stars. Millions of them! Yes, we're just tiny specks on a planet particle, hurling through the infinite blackness. Let's go in and turn on all the lights.
We’re orbiting around our star, which is orbiting the center of our galaxy, which is hurling through the infinite blackness. It’s correct if you go up far enough. Besides, orbiting is just falling toward the gravity source but always missing.

That won’t help at all, Calvin.

Calvin should use the binoculars his dad gave him and look at the night sky. He’d be amazed at how much more he could see.
