Calvin and Hobbes by Bill Watterson for March 24, 1989
Transcript:
Calvin: Don't just stand there, Susie! Help me catch bugs! Susie: Are you crazy? Susie: We were supposed to be working on our insect collectios all month! You can't do the whole thing on the last morning while you wait for the bus! How could you have possibly forgotten it, anyway?! It's all the class has been doing! Where have you been?? Don't you pay attention?! Susie: Don't you care about getting a good education?! Calvin: If any bugs fly in your open mouth, can I have them?

Just tell Miss Wormwood that you’re opposed to the killing of animals for research purposes.

I remember having to do an insect collection back in 4th grade. I think we had a two week deadline if I remember correctly. I think Miss Wormwood is being generous here. But then again these are first graders.
