Calvin and Hobbes by Bill Watterson for July 29, 1989
Transcript:
Dad: This vacation sure went quickly. I can't believe it's time to go home so soon. After being out here, it will sure be a culture shock to go back to civilization, won't it? Calvin: Man, I can't wait to get in the car and crank up the A/C and some tunes. Shake a leg, huh? Dad: Someday I'm going to get my DNA tested and see if he's really my kid. Mom: Take my word for it.

Mom would know. Unless she didn’t. In which case you should be worried.

Don’t forget—he got Mom’s DNA too. And that matches better when it comes to camping.

After you read the next strip you’ll understand why mom is sure Calvin is his. A lot of dad in that kid.
