Poncho: You want to train this kitten to be an undercover agent? Pops: Sure! It'll be perfect! It's still in its gooey, malleable state, so it will mold easily to our personal whims! Dog 1: It's a rooster! Dog 2: It's Elvis Presley! Pops: Mold it back before it stays that way!

These dogs aren’t grossed out by kitty spit?

If they only knew what a hairball is.

Considering what some dogs roll in, you think they’d be grossed out by a hairball?? I don’t think so…

Most dogs would eat the hairball, then agree with the cat’s original judgement & hork it on your rug.

A hairball is the remains, including the fur, of whatever small rodent that the cat ate and then did not want to digest all the way through.

My computer is still protecting me from the apparently disgusting revelation of the hairball in the box, and won’t open the July 21 strip no matter what I try. At least that’s what I assume happened based on the comments that day and subsequently.

@gofinsc you are right on about the missing strip, but there is an undertext, namely that the dogs don’t know what cat hairballs are; they think they are the prime material (kittens) from which cats grow. This was established back before Year 1.
