Calvin and Hobbes by Bill Watterson for August 16, 1989
Transcript:
Hobbes: How's it coming? Calvin: Slow. This dirt is really hard. Hobbes: Well, that's a pretty good start. Calvin: But I've been digging all morning! This is going to take forever! Hobbes: Maybe you'll have to settle for a smaller swimming pool. Calvin: Yeah. This would kill you if you went off the high dive. It's too bad. Mom wouldn't really been surprised to have an olympic pool where her garden used to be. Hobbes: Maybe she'll be surprised anyway.
