Wally: Wanna play a fun game? You grab one end of the sock, and I'll hold on to the other, and we'll both pull until someone lets go!
Ralph: Hey! You ran off before I could grab it!
Wally: I forgot to explain that part!
Understanding the dog is implied, or what we think the dog is trying to say. For example if I try to take the dog’s chew treat away and he growls, I think he is saying, “If you value your life, go watch TV”’ but I could be totally off base.
My mini-doxie has been barking and bringing his stuffed bunny to me for almost 10 years. Every time I reach for it, he grabs it and runs away. If I do get to grab it and throw it, he glares at me and walks away. Thanks, Kevin Fagan. Now I understand.
