Sure, Burl, they clear out last season’s stock after Christmas to make way for the new, trendier stars.

Good morning you guys — but are you all actually getting up at 3am? It’s midnight, almost my bedtime, here on the West Coast.Today’s Find-It is so bright and gleaming that if I didn’t know this was submitted weeks ago, I’d say it’s to make up for the recent missing ones. LOL Meanwhile, those places that sell star names are a total rip-off. There’s no official sanction for the names; they’re just entries, if that, in a book maintained by the seller. But I think there’s already a star someplace whose name means “Joy” — And if not, maybe one of all those stars named after animals or animal parts is called “fat cow.”, albeit in Latin, Greek or Arabic. So Merry Christmas, Joy. From us.

I didn’t realize that Burl could actually SEE the stars; I thought his vision was limited to, say, about the distance from his eyes to his dinner plate? I’ve often wondered where Native Americans went on vacation—and did they drive or fly? Burl’s ever-curious mind surely wants to know. Good mornng all! And you, too, Susan. I guess we’re all up in the middle of the night for one reason or another,

    A star doesn’t make you a star.

You could just print-off a fake ‘star-name certificate’ and give it to her, Burl. It’s not like she’s an astronomer.

Hi again, all. I’m in California, about 50 miles north of San Francisco.Redwood trees, grapes and cows. Where are you, Ladyfingers?Strangely, my comic page updates at about the same time as yours, Marg. Not sure how they do that! On Comics.com it was all at once – midnight here, 3am on the West Coast. I was taking 200 miles north of Crustwood as anyplace from maybe Madison to Wassau WI, or on up to Thunder Bay, Ont, depending on how far south Crustwood lies in Illinois. But AFAIK that part of the continent is sunny right now, so I could be wrong……. Gymshoe? And Eric, yes, he might as well. No astronomer pays any attention to those bought names anyhow.
