I did mention your Briggs & Strattons, your fertilizer spreader, and the many gallon of water suburbanites use to look better than their neighbors, didn’t I?I would never mention the tons of pollutants and boatloads of gas so they don’t have to live near us dirty city people. How the heck does a car with no passengers have a “Earth First” bumper sticker? Some say a golf course is worse than a NASCAR parking lot. Hate to disagree. Is swinging a club a bigger ecological disaster than spending Saturday spreadin 200 lbs of Scott’s weed and feed on your 1/4 acre? You let your kids play on that?

RCMinor — You’re wrong about turf. Native vegetation is better for erosion prevention, increasing mineral content, helping wildlife, and doesn’t require pesticides and herbicides, which are quite harmful.

I don’t like this cartoon’s message. I am male, and I am not a boor who doesn’t care about the Earth.

I’m not sure the author share’s the lady’s POV. And I think her menfolk’s response is tongue in cheek, not an admission of guilt.
