hahaha I’ve always wondered how “old” the ladies are supposed to be. I don’t know anyone who wears their hair like that. Joy looked alot like Patty with her new “do” but prefers to looks like Patty’s mom. hmm
“You’re always welcome….. to call first.” I want that on MY door!In one strip awhile back, mention was made of Verl’s 50-somethingth birthday — I THINK she was 53. Joy is a year or two older. Maybe the strip progresses in real time, so they’re a little older now, but I’m guessing it’s in a holding pattern, like Luann or Peanuts, and they stay in their mid 50’s.
Thanks Crustwwod Team…….. the rest of sign then reads……. “Wanted New Manicurist ( Must be able to stomach pedicures) apply by phone”…………Hummmm…… Now I am sorry I asked……….
Everybody who keeps giving that advice…. please! That’s what works in Internet Explorer. Those who use most other browsers can push Ctrl + till the cows come home and it won’t make the picture bigger. On Firefox, it’ll enlarge the TEXT but not the graphics, though you can uncheck that in a menu, to enlarge both. But as many have said, you’ve still got a low resolution graphic == not enough pixels to display detail. It’s like saying if you made all the Lego’s bigger you could read the dashboard on that 3" car you built.Plus enlarging one window usually enlarges all your others, and makes it almost impossible to comment while looking at the picture. If I do want to see the low-res picture bigger, I right click it and copy and paste into Paint, which I keep handy in the taskbar. Can enlarge it easily there and then quit w/o saving. Meanwhile I hope GoComics will soon fix the actual Magnifier tool for Sundays, which gives us a higher resolution picture — more pixels per inch.More pixels – more detail. Like the same mosaic design made of smaller tiles. It’s working today on several of my strips, but since not everyone reads them, not many have noticed. Among them are Lila, Speed Bump, Agnes, and the Barn. I’m sure the artists have nothing to do with which ones work.
BTW the stylist looks different today, but once again, has a bad haircut, heavy facial stubble, and what must be a jar of “stache wax” on her station. LOL
SusanSunshine………… Thanks for the explaination……… I hope “they” are reading and do as you suggested…………Fix it…………… We need the magnifier to see all the detail……….. That is one part of what makes this comic “great”…..

Once again, no magnification possible. Julie puts in too much detail to see in a 2" high strip. Gocomics does nothing to correct it. That sucks.

You’re welcome Gymshoe.
And Wild Sow — look at “Zoom” in your View menu. At some point “Zoom text only”, which is the default setting, must have gotten unchecked.
That means you make everything in the window bigger when you zoom — which still has the problems I detailed.
