Don't start the burgers yet- they'll taste like lighter fluid. Mom! I don't need sunblock- we're in our own yard! Smack! Ewww- that mosquito had more blood in him than I do! I like 'em like that! Hurry up! You just said don't start yet. Who wants to throw the football? Splash Who wants to go swimmin'? Oops. Does everyone want cheese on their burgers? Does anyone want cheese? Make the grill smoke more dad! It's driving away the bugs! No! You can grill the corn on the cob, but not the potato salad. How long was that on the ground?... It's ok, cooking ought to kill anything on it. Sigh Who wants to re-wrap all these cheese slices? Ow! The outside of the grill is hot too! Dad's sending smoke signals what do they say? Son! Don't spray the grill with bug spray! But I don't wanna eat bugs! Toby, steal your father's hat and hide it, please. The signal say help stop grill abuse.

I drew this way back just after Mother’s Day. We had a cookout last night, and I got up this morning to see it with fresh eyes. Yeah. our cookout looked a lot like this.
