@ Lewreader. We don’t have the draft anymore, in case you forgot. I live near a Marine base, and I personally know many fine women Marines who would (and do) happily follow the “Ladies First” rule when it comes to serving our country. God bless all of them as well as our other military service people, men and women alike.
If the world’s elected leaders were just required to do exactly that (lead the troops into battle), we could be sure that there would be a lot fewer battles.
The corporations will accept anything on two legs, and some on four, for their cannon (or IED) fodder. Steal the wealth is all they care about – and avoiding combat themselves. Even back in the bad old days of conscription, they managed to get assigned to Fort Roach, Squadron Liquor Officer, or Alabama Air National Guard.

Wish the Selective Service had that rule. You can bet Congress would think twice about sending in our fine young women.
