Calvin and Hobbes by Bill Watterson for September 08, 1990
Transcript:
Calvin: Well, this is certainly a sorry chapter in G.R.O.S.S. history! First Tiger Hobbes, a traitor to the cause! Hobbes: It might interest you to know that after I won Susie's confidence, I did some spying. Calvin: Spying? You were a spy?? Hobbes: I read an open page of Susie's diary. Calvin: Wow! Deep in enemy territory, you intercepted a secret message? What did it say?? Hobbes: It said "Calvin is a pig-faced smelly fat-head!" Calvin: Then our club is a success! Brilliant work, Hobbes! Promotions for everyone! Welcome back!

Well, this proves that Hobbes is real. If he wasn’t, then how could Calvin know what was in the diary. Then again, he could be making this up…

How wouldn’t that be in Suzie’s Diary?

How could Calvin not want that to be in Susie’s journal? Of course Hobbes would tell Calvin what Calvin wants to hear.

Ah, everyone includes himself. Sly Calvin, always going for the politicianesque move.
