Calvin and Hobbes by Bill Watterson for November 16, 1990
Transcript:
Calvin: Mom, where do we keep the papier-mache? Mom: We don't have any. Calvin: Oh great! Just great! How am I going to make a roadrunner without papier-mache?! Mom: Maybe you should've thought of that before 7:00 at night, you'll have to make one some other way. Calvin: But how?! Mom: This is your school project, Calvin. You do the work. Calvin: If I get a bad grade, It'll be your fault for not doing the work for me!

Well, it does seem to me a six-year-old ought to have a little help and guidance, here. Calvin’s school experience is often represented as one of a child at least twice his age.

Spit and tissue in a pinch? Hard to find newspapers and often flour nowadays.
