Rat says, "Announcement: I have seen two French films. From that, I have concluded that all French films are about nothing." Goat says, "Oh, please. You ever think you might be wrong?" Rat says, "Listen. Whenever you think I might be wrong, I want you to think of Halley's comet." Goat says, "Why?" Rat says, "Because it only happens once every 76 years." Goat says, "Announcement: I am leaving." Rat says, "Anyone ever tell you you're about as interesting as a French film?"

Halley’s Comet only happens every 76 years? Wording could be better there. Halley’s Comet can only be seen every 76 because that’s when it passes earth. That doesn’t mean it ceases to exist during the rest of the time.

@Pelahnar Unless you believe in the quantum mechanical principle that something only exists when it’s observed (to be fair, astronomers can observe both the comet and its gravitational effects even when it’s not visible to the unaided eye)

He should have said West Comet. It was last seen in 1976 and will not be seen until 6.5million years later.

pronounce it ‘hal-lee’ not ‘hale lee’. mark twain was born in the year of the comet and always thought he would die on its return. he was right.

French films aren’t about nothing, but most of the ones that I’ve seen take their own sweet time to get to any kind of point.

French music is pretty cool though.
