Let me tell you, sonny, true love is the greatest thing in the world. Except a nice Spam, lettuce and tomato sandwich, where the tomato is fresh, and the Spam is fried nice and brown. It’s so perky!

You might want to read this:In Hawaii, there is perhaps only one food that is more engrained in the island culture than pineapple – and that food is Spam. This quintessential canned ham product manufactured in Minnesota was introduced to the islands during the 1940s, and has become a wildly popular staple food across the islands. There is even an annual Spam festival in Hawaii! I think that the main reason Spam is considered “Icky” is from the vile slander that it’s made up of pig lips, noses, ears, and the like. After you take the hams, the tenderloins, the chops, the spareribs, etc, there’s quite a lot of perfectly edible meat that no one knew what to do with…until Spam.
