Calvin and Hobbes by Bill Watterson for August 29, 1992
Transcript:
Calvin: We've got to get cable TV. Dad. Dad: No, we don't. Calvin: But people across the country are watching different TV shows than we are! If we don't all watch the same TV, what will keep our culture homogeneous? We can't rely on monolithic networks to provide uniform national blandness anymore! Dad: There's still McDonald's and Wal-mart. Calvin: But they don't come into our homes!
