Calvin and Hobbes by Bill Watterson for January 10, 1993
Transcript:
Calvin: This is my latest snow sculpture. Hobbes: Where? Calvin: All of this! Hobbes: But you didn't do anything. Calvin: Right. Art is dead! There's nothing left to say. Style is exhausted and content is pointless. Art has no purpose. All that's left is commodity marketing. Consequently, I'm signing this landscape and you can own if for a million dollars. Hobbes: Sorry...it does't match my furniture. The problem with being avant-garde is knowing who's putting on who.

It begs the question: how much of Hobbes (and his antics) are Calvin’s fantasy and how much are real?

Love how even in photos, Calvin sees the living Hobbes, while everyone else sees the stuffed toy…

Not too bad for an action shot..crisp image, no blur. Just a little off-center is all! :)
