Wow, I know that this is done about a month in advance, but I wonder how many complaints are going to happen because of the guy who died trying to get a foul ball, fell out of the stands and hit his head. All while his 6 year old watched.I’m sure this is going to be pulled from some papers tomorrow.

Again as I always say, this is not the fault of the cartoonists, it’s the fault of fate itself playing a cruel joke on them.

There are people so stupid they’ll think he’s trying to comment on recent events despite the coincidence.

The coincidences in life are so strange. I’m glad this strip ran, regardless of recent events. It’s a worthy and worthwhile message. Good for you, Robb Armstrong!

If anyone’s interested, I just noticed the 6/27 and 7/3 Sunday strips (comments were made the following days mentioning they weren’t there) have been added to the archive.

This isn’t directly related to today’s strip, but I have noticed over the years that a certain meme or image will often appear in several comics on the same day, even though it has nothing to do with any current news story or popular culture reference. I think many cartoonists share a mental link of some sort.

Excellent strip today on why you should learn CPR. Couple months back my employer got our building an automatic defiberlator. The kind that walks you through how to use when it’s needed and to be used by non medical people. The email telling everyone the news forgot to say which on which of our 16 floors it was located. Found it!

CPR was something relatively new (early 1960s) when I was writing a book on camping and wanted to include it. I went to the Dallas Red Cross office and asked where I could go to learn how. I thought they were going to call the police. They ranted and raved until I left, accusing me of wanting to kill people. Fortunately, the Mesquite (where I lived at the time) National Guard unit was medical support and loaned me many very useful army medic books. Since the book is currently out of print (hint, hint, publishers), I would again like to thank them for this help.

[Year long tally: 22 Nonsensical : 168 Realistic] Thank you, Robb, for the very funny and realistic comic today! ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ I like the fact that the kids are showing admiration for their dad in today’s comic.

No offense taken, “Billy1Rules”…because I don’t even know what “suked” means!
