Calvin: How much is that tiger in the window? The one who does nothing but sleep? We'll spread him out flat in the rec room and have a new rug if he's cheap!
He asked for that. If that was a true story, when he yelled “I’m home!” when he got back from the pet store, Hobbes might have pounced on him from his arms, even though he didn’t know Calvin yet.
Trivia Time: The song Calvin sings is a cover of “(How Much Is) That Doggie in the Window?” a popular novelty song written by Bob Merrill and first registered on September 25, 1952, as “The Doggie in the Window”.

Hahahaha my sister and I adapted this song for our greyhound. Sweetest, laziest dog imaginable, it suited him well.
