Calvin: I hear we're having a fire drill today. Susie Derkins (friend): Right. Calvin: Wow! How exciting! I can't wait! Susie Derkins (friend): Do you know what to do? Calvin: You bet! When do they pass out the gasoline?
Of course Calvin would think fire drills involve actual fire and be excited by it! And I bet he got all his hopes up among hearing the fire alarm thinking the school building was burning, but by the end of the fire drill he felt it was all a rip-off and was pretty annoyed!
