The current issues in Tank is important to be sure, but I must chastise Millar and Hinds for totally misinterpreting the meaning of the stickers on the helmets of college football players. They imply they are for outstanding play on the field, say for knocking someone on his butt particularly hard.
This is totally false. The stickers are for outstanding academic performance! For example, a player gets a sticker for an grade of A or B on a major exam in organic chemistry, third year physics, or upper level Chinese, Arabic or Greek. It’s time these outstanding scholar-athletes are given proper credit for what they have done.
