    I don’t care what PETA would say I love the dark meat of the bird so pass the stuffing. If I was a wizard and someone called my wife “I don’t have one at the moment” I would turn them into something too that was yummy too “cow, pig chicken, fish or some thing”.

    I like the (possibly mythical) native American tradition of thanking the spirit of the animal for the gift of their life to sustain ours. Makes much more sense than the the PETA ethic. Respecting the animals you eat also means avoiding low cost meat production (e.g. broilers confined to their cage have their feet grow into the wire mesh, and have to have them cut off when they are taken out to be butchered - not exactly humane) and go for free range or at least kosher. Eat meat less often - once or twice a week.
