Not sure where this strip is going, but it doesn’t look good. If it’s going where I think it’s going, I’m glad Duncan got out of the place. But what about other puppies and their mothers? It would be nice if Duncan had come from a responsible breeder that knows about the breed and its problems and cares about quality, not quantity. If people want to get a pet, they shouldn’t buy from pet stores. They should buy from a reputable breeder who cares about their chosen breed. Or adopt a pet from a shelter or rescue group. Many of these dogs have been rescued from puppy mills.
Duncan did live a wonderful loved life. So did our darling Scottie Dylan, He passed March 23 2013 and I say a prayer ever day asking God to keep him safe till my husband and I meet him at Rainbow Bridge.
All but one of my pets was a rescue/shelter or found on the streets and brought home to live with us, dogs and cats both. I did buy a Yellow Registered Labrador Retriever from a pet shop in North Carolina and Susie was the MOST WONDERFUL loving, smartest dog. Those pet shop animals need homes too. Just saying. I love all animals and ALL MY PETS but sometimes those pet shop animals need adopted too.
That is probably true about reptiles, fish, birds, etc. But I wonder if there are “bird mills” where birds are kept in cages too small for them. What about hamsters, etc.?

Puppy farms exist (unfortunately) so ANY animal removed from them is safer, hopefully..Duncan’s taken his first steps to a better life.

We believe in rescuing pets. To date we have adopted 8 dogs that were basically thrown away. So please adopt, don’t shop!
