Yes, Christians know that Jesus was NOT born in December. The time of celebration was picked by Christians in the early church to coincide with a Roman holiday so as to not draw attention to themselves. The Romans were too busy celebrating their holiday to notice the Christians were celebrating the birth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
And, by the way, QuiteDragon is correct. There is far, far more historical evidence for the existence of Jesus Christ than for Plato, Aristotle, and many other acclaimed historical figures of that age.
