Annie has a sarcastic streak, but I wouldn’t call her a pathological liar. She is an orphan, and she loves nothing so much as yanking Lila’s chain because she understands Lila so well. Here’s my prediction: she’ll be spending Thanksgiving with Lila’s family.
Lila’s heart is in the right place but she needs to remember that her mother will be there. If I were Lila I’d prefer dinner in the cafeteria to her mother’s house for Thanksgiving.
