Slow down, you move to fastYou’ve got to make the stories lastI hardly can keep up with my poemsAnd Honeymoon just wants some sushiHey there Mike and JoeKeep it goingThings now are really flowingAt times it moves too fast for meAgain, Honeymoon just wants some sushiGot no complaints for youNo need to weepI’m happy and dazzled and swept off my feetGuys, we like youLet’s all get sushi.A belated thanks to BillT.
Road chase! Will Tracy and Sam take out B-B Eyes in a hail of gunfire, or will they be the more cautious modern-type cops and just follow discreetly until he stops/crashes/runs out of fuel/gives up?
Did Macy get Honeymoon out of the truck? Or, are they still in it? If they are still in it, BB Eyes just made one big mistake. Macy could clamp off the hose and stall the engine.
wndrwrthg, next to Mike and Joe, you’re my hero!Morrow, I’m guessing that they were clear of the truck when BB Eyes made his move, based on what BB was thinking in the first panel, and the fact that Sam yelled “LOOK!” instead of “LOOK OUT!”And no offense, but I kind of wish you’d stop using the name “Macy” to describe our hero. Yes, I know it’s a B.O. Plentyism, but it’s one I associate with the Locher age. This isn’t “Macy” anymore — this is the real DICK TRACY, back in action again with Sam by his side as in the Goulden days!
Maxine, I’m pretty sure B.O. was getting Tracy’s name wrong in the Gould years, too. Terry, thanks for the link to the GSC AMV. Great piece of editing, there. In the later “GSC: Burst” manga, Rally had to sacrifice her beloved GT500 and later replaced it with a Mustang II-based Cobra II. I’ve seen people claim you can’t effectively depict a car chase in comics. Sonoda proves them wrong throughout the series. The keys are being able to draw realistic (or at least believable) cars and understand how cars really react (body roll, suspension movement, collision damage). I’m not sure I’ve ever seen Joe Staton draw a car chase, but I’m ready to see him give it a shot!
I am unaware of the significance of the name “Naperville”-where did that name for Tracy’s city come from – I thought it was generally understood that Tracy’s city had no name, but was based on Chicago?
If my experience with cargo vans is any indication, it would be hard to pick a worse get-away car. They’re heavy, slow (mine has a top speed of 80 mph) and about as maneuverable as a pregnant elephant on crutches. You might get a halfway decent Ford or Chevy van up to 100, but any police cruiser should still be able to catch it.

Good Morning all!!!
Love the sound effects today.
The drawing of Sam’s balloon and BB Eyes crashing out of the building makes you feel the sound of the action.

I’m hoping the chase is something, but only something, like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ljn-jCTY8P8

1st panel shows Honeymoon climbing out of the truck. It looks like Tracy is still inside.
WW: you should write songs. Good one

How did BB Eyes get into the cab so quickly without being seen? If he thinks he can get away, he’s a dope, too.

B-B Eyes has fled the scene, but he will need a transmogrifier to make a clean escape.
