That is funny…Dave Ramsey said on the air once that if you own a cat you wont be able to sell your house.

I have three cats and my house doesn’t stink. We clean the litter box daily. Dogs are the stinky animals.

I think kitty-litter is much more effective than it used to be at eliminating odors. Personally, I find the smell of a freshly opened can of tuna or salmon cat food to be FAR more offensive than that coming from the litter box.

isn’t it wierd, the more horrid the odor from the cat food, the more nuts the cat gets wanting to eat it?

I also have three cats and when people come to my house they are very surprised that I do. Just takes a little time to keep the litter fresh. And I am sure my babies appreciate always having a clean box to go to!

One of the reasons I don’t have carpets. I hate them. Too damn hard to clean because you can’t get the dirt that goes through them and the pad. I use area rugs I can take out and scrub and vacuum the floor while they’re drying.

The commenters have it right — if there’s a smell it’s because some human is too lazy to clean the litter box daily and change the litter completely at least weekly.

The only good cat is a dead cat.
