July 17, 2011: On this day, for the first time Ottodesu explained a Brevity gag to Susansunshine. This was a complete 180 degree turnaround from the usual situation.
Once you mentioned the panels and the the wave, it made sense. Prior to the explanation, I had no clue what the strip was about. Thanks fellow comic fans.
So, I figured it out this morning but I was curious as to what others thought. From the remarks here it is clear that there can be too much brevity… Brevity without clarity is tedious, as was today’s strip.
Actually one reason I enjoy Brevity is the challenge. There are plenty of quick gags out there, sometimes here, too…. but Brevity has a different way of thinking, which usually, but not always, matches mine.I didn’t think about the wave cos I’m not very sportsminded. Or OK, at all.

I’ve been waiting for somebody else to comment and maybe ‘splain me this… but nobody’s here…. sigh….
Did the opposing roars of the crowd stir up so much hot air they created a twister that grabbed the blimp and knocked down the helicopter?
Even if so, I’d think there were two teams. Why are there three cheering sections?
It must be past my bedtime.
