Rover gets enough sleep during the day waiting for Red to come home from school. I think it’s sweet that Rover is always there for Red, whether he’s had a bad dream or just can’t sleep or happened to wake up in the middle of the night for no reason. This comic makes me want to get a dog.
The day to day adventures of Red & Rover are why I have always had at least one dog most of my life. There are headaches, but these are the types of rewards that make it all worth it!

every night, it’s thumpas, nose bumps, cover pulls and I end up awake and reading Red & Rover.
