Hey, it’s a woman’s perogative to change her mind….especially if gifts might be in the offing.

IIRC, she’s named Queen Iris.

“You shouldn’t” is used the same way in, “You shouldn’t eat that second dessert,” but people do it anyway.

“It’s a woman’s perogative to change her mind”, more momism propaganda designed to snow little boys into being submissime men… . .bah!

It’s also her prerogative to change my mind.

She should get together with King Fink.

C’mon, everyone says, “You shouldn’t have!” or something like that – it’s just a way of saying, “I appreciate your hard work.” The joke is on the saying itself, not on the queen.

I believe it’s “Q Eye” as in “Q. I.” as in “Queen Ida.”

I doubt Her Royal Majesty Ida Regina Gloriana would appreciate being called “Queeny”, even on her birthday.

I’m as confused as some of these commentators about the Q and the eye written on the birthday banner.

Maybe it was supposed to be “eye Q”, referring to the Queen’s lofty intelligence, but the ants have dailysex…

I mean “dyslexia”.

It seems like the juggler ant’s feet ought to be visible beneath the banner in the last panel…
