Qualifications?Marauding, cattle rustling, scalping, pillaging, marauding….Hold on! You said marauding TWICE!!I know. I LIKE marauding! You’re hired! NEXT!!

Blazing Saddles reference - niiiiiice - and a great comparison! Of course, you tamed it a little for the G rating, but I still enjoyed it immensely!
Wow! What great readers I have! You folks REALLY get my cartoons and I can’t tell you how grateful I am!!
What boggles my mind is the length of the line of braves waiting to sign up. Just how bad were First American unemployment rates in those days?
“Name?”
“Limpid Lizard, yer worshipfulness!”
“Uh…just what tribe are you from?”
“Why, th’Poohawks, uv course!”
“Get out of this line and out of this strip…NOW, before you jinx the rest of us!”
It took me a minute, but I found reasons to be offended. My wife is unemployed so I am offended that you drew people waiting in long lines. I am in Atlanta so there must be some stereotypical reference to The Braves. My friends in Cleveland must be furious too. Why aren’t there any women in that line? Don’t you think women can fight Custer? How narrow-minded you are Chief Thom Thom! I love it!
And of course, now I’m offended because no one else seems to recognize a reference (in my last comment) to the classic strip Tumbleweeds when they see one. :))
Which, BTW, is available at www.tumbleweeds.com…

I feel a certain affinity for the fourth member about to sign up. LOL

Doc, that is an offensive remark. I’m offended that you would think I’m not offended!

Chief Thom Thom
WHY can’t you tell us how grateful you are? Now I’m really offended!
COWBOY7 about 15 years ago
Doc
Now I’m offended that you thought I was being “defensive”. What an offensive set of defensive circumstances!

The TRIBE has grown.

cleo, I was going to mention that the fourth in line resembled you for some reason, but your twisted, neckid mind arrived first. Awesome!

Two thoughts:
This is the last stand to sign up at. The other warriors all signed up at the previous stands.
I wonder if any of those in line are Winnebagos? – The only American tribe, as one of its chiefs noted, to be named after a RV…

BTW, two notes to the Tribe (especially DocToon) are now on Big Top (page 6)…a recipe for CocoMocha is included…

I’m offended at the attention your seeking Johanan with the offensive loud print! Kind of drowns out the strip dontchaknow!! LOL
Rakkav about 15 years ago
Point taken (see revised note above)…LOL or not, I’d rather not cause needless offense.
COWBOY7 about 15 years ago
Oh, just a messin’ wit ya Johanan!!
I love to laugh my friend!
[Edit] I’m getting a bad feeling that you are being more serious than I am.
Rakkav about 15 years ago
For a moment I was, but that’s over now. :)
COWBOY7 about 15 years ago
That’s cool, I feel better!! :-)

I’m offended that no one noticed the Blazing Saddles reference in my post. Apparently if you’re not from the tribe, no one notices you :-)
Rakkav about 15 years ago
I never watched Blazing Saddles, so I wouldn’t get that reference if it stuck to the sole of my shoe. ;)
bmonk about 15 years ago
I haven’t seen Saddles for years now–and then that was a network-edited version in which the scene around the campfire was oddly quiet…
I guess we just don’t get high-brow humor, MisngNOLA. Sorry…
