The music in Turn Off the Dark is actually pretty good. Yeah, most of it is blandly pleasant ‘in one ear out the other’ stuff, but there’s nothing wrong with that. And then there’s Pull the Trigger, DIY World, Sinistereo, and A Freak Like Me Needs Company, which are actively good. (Nothing will ever beat that last one.)
